About:
For Lee Ritenour, there aren’t many ‘firsts’ left to achieve. During his dazzling five-decade career, the fabled LA guitarist has taken his music to the outer limits, alighting on every genre and occupying every position in the rock ‘n’ roll firmament. He’s been an enfant terrible of ’70s fusion, a crossover star of the ’80s pop chart, an honorary exponent of Brazilian jazz, and the fingers behind ’90s supergroup, Fourplay. Ritenour’s accolades include: 45 albums, Grammy award winner, plus 16 Grammy nominations.
Spyro Gyra has long been known to its peers in the contemporary jazz world as a “well-oiled road machine” due to its relentless schedule 50 years of performing. To date, they have logged more than 10,000 shows on six continents and released 35 albums, garnering Platinum and gold records along the way.
Regalitos Foundation, BMG Concerts and the King Center for the Performing Arts are honored that these two legends of Contemporary Jazz are performing at the King Center’s L3Harris Technologies theater stage on Sunday, March 9th 2025.
